Beili Liu (US): Recall, Hå Gamle Prestegaard (2011)
A house made of waxed threads. Liu has re-created her parents’ house in Northern China in the gallery space. It’s a simple one-room building. Thin strands are hanging from the ceiling, wax is a fluid material, and it will very slowly be running down the strings. In the end it will all become invisible – The installation is an exceptional poetic paraphrase over the idea of home. It’s very-very beautiful work of art!
